The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs website (https://sdgs.un.org/partnerships/republic-korea-has-pledged-carry-out-marine-energy-oda-programs-including-ocean) notes that the Republic of Korea will provide $5.2 million in financing plus staff and technical assistance to the Marshall Islands for establishment of 50kW OTEC and air conditioning in addition to training on desalination and hydroponics.
The project is expected to be installed by December 2026.
