India’s National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) has partnered with Shell’s Marine Renewable Energy program to study and cost offshore OTEC at 1MW scale. The project focused on design and costing and was delivered in October 2023.
This project follows Shell’s support of the 9th International OTEC Symposium in Houston and announcement of collaboration with Makai Ocean Engineering on OTEC.
