UFRJ’s Laboratory of Ocean and Currents has announced a partnership with Shell’s Marine Renewable Energy Program to focus on the feasibility of OTEC along the coast of Brazil.
The project’s goal will be to simulate an optimal design for the “Blue Amazon” area along the coast of Brazil as well as estimate the power outputs for various combinations of cold and warm water inlet sizes and platform sizes.
