Indian OTEC scheduled to deploy in September 2002

We have been told that the Sagar Shakti research vessel, which will carry a 1 MW OTEC plant, is scheduled to deploy in September 2002. The Sagar Shakti is developed by the Indian National Institute of Ocean Technology in cooperation with the Institute of Ocean Energy, Saga University, Japan.
